What the--!

I have no idea what was going through the minds of those in charge at the New Yorker, but their cover this week shows incredibly poor judgment. Yeah, I get it, it's satire, but there are too many people who don't get the joke and will use this to confirm long held prejudices and misinformation. I have already had words with some dear friends of mine who have sent me anti-Obama emails with Obama in a dashiki which I found racist and offensive, asking them to cease and desist. I am sure that this New Yorker cover was like Christmas in July for Rush and the Fox News crusaders. I did think about cancelling my subscription, but the magazine articles are state of the art, so what's to do? Well, I could post a rant on my blog...
